PENSHAW - a range of luminaires is suitable for both wall and ceiling mounting in either surface or recessed versions. The unique design ensures that all types are extremely resilient and are therefore suited to use in highly volatile areas where vandalism is prevalent. Such areas could be:

PENSHAW - a range of Vandal Resistant luminaires for use in subways. The body is made from sheet steel, phosphate coated and then painted in fine textured white as standard. The phosphate coating carries a 5 year conditional guarantee against rust. Fittings are available in surface and recessed versions.

The diffuser is made from 3mm or 5mm thick opal or prismatic GE Lexan Polycarbonate as standard, which is very resilient to attack. As an additional option, the luminaires can be fitted with 3mm GE Lexan Magard which is virtually indestructible. Behind this, either an opal or prismatic 2mm GE Lexan Polycarbonate panel is fitted to produce the required light control. The panel is held in a formed steel frame by a secured secondary frame, gasketted to prevent ingress of either water or dust. The frame is secured to the body with special stainless steel high security bolts.

The geartray is removable for ease of maintenance and also acts as a reflector. It is made from mild steel and finished with an EPC white coat. Versions are available 1200, 1500 and 1800mm lengths, single or twin tube, with switch start or high frequency electronic control gear. Integral 3 hour maintained emergency gear can also be fitted.

All luminaires in this range are designed to comply with BS EN 60598 and are suitable for operating in exterior applications. Each luminaire also complies with European Directive 89/336/EEC and carries the CE mark.
